Students use their categories to be X and O. If the word is spelled correctly and fits the student's category, it stays. If not, it is erased and the other partner can use that space.
Battleship
Students use their words to determine hits and misses. Students place 5 words randomly from their sort on the bottom grid.
Partner A calls off a grid coordinate (example: B,1). Partner B says hit or miss. If it is a hit, partner B reads the word in the space. If partner A can spell the word correctly, it is a hit and both partners X that space (partner A on the top grid, partner B on the bottom grid). Game continues until one partner sinks all of their opponents words.
